Oh, How the World Works in Mysterious Ways

So something happened the other day and thought it was worth sharing with ya’ll here. I was leaving my job at KJazz after speaking with the DJ Host, Bubba Jackson, shortly before leaving– who BTW is such a kind, warm-hearted guy. I was with the radio production operator not too long before, who was showing me around the studios, and eventually bringing me into Bubba’s studio where we had a brief talk. When I left, I remember feeling a mixture of emotions– both excitement, nervousness, and just pure anticipation and couldn’t really explain it. I was on my way home from work (about 40 minutes later), contemplating, sitting pensively in silence when a car pulled up next to me as we waited at a red light. I had my windows rolled down at the time and before I knew it, I heard what sounded like Bubba’s voice playing in radio station next to me. I switched to 88.1FM and realized it was Bubba’s voice and that it was Bubba on the air. I was already almost at home at this point and I wanted to say so badly that I was just acquainted with the guy! but before I can say anything the light turned green and he drove off. It was such an intimate moment for me, knowing that I had just spoken with him at his studio where he was airing live at the time. Can’t believe in a million years I would ever be in a place to say something like this. I’m glad that people do tune into this relatively unknown station these days, as it reminds me that there is no expiration date on good music! Though this moment may seem minor to some, it was a big moment for me. Just a reminder that God does work miracles and that the world truly works in mysterious works. Always humbled, always thankful, always grateful.

Ya’ll won’t regret it!

Peace&Love,

Lo.
