Soo, if ya’ll have been following me for a while, you must know that I am a huge fan of R&B/ Soul music. For me, R&B/Soul music is where my heart lies. I love old school music like Maxwell, John, Brandy, Boyz ll Men, the list goes on.. However, I do love my share of pop music. Occasionally, there are definitely some pop songs that do move me. And when I do find one that strikes me in an unusual/ enticing way, my first thought is to share it with you guys on here as I always do. One in particular is “Dancing With A Stranger” by Sam Smith & Normani. There’s something very soulful and deep about Sam Smith’s voice that balances out with Normani’s high soprano vocals. For me, it gives the song balance and not to mention, the message of the song that feels familiar and relevant. It’s been a while since it was first released, but something about it stuck with me.. Below, is the official music video for those who have yet to see it. Hope it meant something for ya’ll as it did for me. Enjoy, xox.

“The real ones been dying, the fake ones is lit” – J. Cole
Why do the good ones die so early?
I’m disheartened by this senseless attack. I am at a loss for words.
As you may have seen, this murder has been covered on almost all the news outlets. As someone who studied Sociology throughout college and have dreams of giving back to the community with my own music and business, I deeply respect this man’s desire ambitions. Nipsey did not deserve this. His purpose was to contribute, give back to his community, and help the young ones stay out of trouble— and suddenly, he became the target for murder. Many say its a conspiracy involving the government, as Nipsey recently admitted that he would be releasing a documentary discussing possible way to cure cancer. That it may have been someone he knew and it was a personal motive. Regardless, the man was a good soul who fell victim to a senseless crime. The Crenshaw rapper also panned to meet with LAPD’s police chief and commissioner today afternoon to discuss a plan to further prevent gang violence. Nipsey’s legacy of being an advocate and social activist for South LA and will not be forgotten. All I hope is that they find this murder so that justice is served.
You could also watch the shooting, which took place not far on Crenshaw & Slauson, on TMZ here.

Just droppin’ in, I guess, as self-affirmation to not give up on my hopes and dreams and keep believing in myself regardless of self-doubt and criticism (or lack of support) from others. Tonight was one filled with epiphany and realizations, one unfortunately brought by a “friend” whose judgment whose clouded by ego and pride. Life is too short to carry on others’ insecurities and doubts. Moments like this only force one to fighter harder for one’s beliefs and values. All I have to do is show up.. and put my heart where it needs to be. Sorry in advance if this makes no sense… just thought I’d share this before I lose my sanity.
Thanks for listening, good night.
Droppin’ this off to bless your ears. If ya’ll wanna hear some true SANGING and not singing .. this might be a well worthwhile listen to for ya’ll. I have always idolized Ms. Wyatt’s vocals. To me, her gift is truly one of a kind. She can bust windows and resurrect the dead for all I know really.. If ya’ll have a moment, I beg ya’ll to give her a listen to. She sounds just as good as live and as someone who appreciates singing, for me, this talent is a true mark of a singer. Don’t believe me, check out her song “His Eyes Is On The Sparrow”. Young lady makes me want to go to church and repent my sins, lol. Hope ya’ll enjoy her accapella version “His Eyes Is On The Sparrow”. It only gets better throughout the song.

Here is yet another video of Ms. Wyatt singing nonchalantly as she changes in the fitting room. Her runs are just so extraterrestrial and divine. Give this post a like to hear more from Ms. Wyatt!
If ya’ll feeling’ Ms Wyatt, expect more from her! xox. Goodnight ya’ll.
Just letting ya’ll know that I haven’t forgotten about my creative piece that I promised ya’ll. I’ve just been itching to get back into the arts, I’ve already come up with some draft so I’m excited for it.. just trying to find the time to start. Will do shout outs once I am done :)) Fortunately, however, I have already made some new covers to share on my instagram. I’m glad I finally have the chance to be proactive with it.
